Maintenance

3.3
After use
1. Open the Velcro fastener.
2. Put the comfort vest on a horizontal, even surface.
3. Stroke the PCM elements until flat. Ensure that the PCM
elements are evenly distributed and lying horizontally, as
this will ensure the best results when regenerating the PCM
elements.
4. Store the comfort vest at a temperature of less than +20 °C
for at least two hours, so that all PCM elements can change
to the phase to the solid state of aggregation.
This process takes 30 minutes at an ambient temperature
of +8 °C.
5. Check the comfort vest for damages (see chapter 4 on
page 6).
6. If necessary, wash the comfort vest.
4
Maintenance
4.1
Cleaning
After removing the PCM elements, the comfort vest can be
cleaned at max. +40 °C using a detergent for delicate fabrics.
4.2
Maintenance intervals
4.2.1
Yearly
Check 1x every year if comfort vest or PCM elements are
damaged.
Have damages (e. g. cuts, tears, etc.) on the comfort vest
repaired by a professional sewing shop.
If damaged (e. g. perforation of the packaging), replace the
PCM elements.
4.2.2
Every 3 years
Even if handled with care, the PCM elements will lose their
effectiveness as the amount of changes in state of aggregation
and storage time rise. Replace the PCM elements after 3 years
at the latest to ensure maximum performance of the comfort
vest.
5
Storage
When all PCM elements have returned to a solid state of
aggregation, put the comfort vest on a horizontal, level surface
and open slightly and allow residual moisture to evaporate.
The storage temperature may not exceed +22 °C. Store the
comfort vest in a dark, dry and well aerated room. Avoid UV
and direct sun irradiation as well as ozone.
6
6
Disposal
Without PCM elements, the vest can be disposed of in the
domestic garbage.
The PCM elements must be disposed of according to
European Waste Catalogue key number EWC 160507 and in
accordance with local waste management regulations.
