Symptom
The clock does not appear in the
Component display.
The label letters shown on the
upper side of the Component
display are partially hidden.
Key location is not proper.
You cannot program a preset code of a component properly
(PRESET)
Symptom
A beep sounds five times when
performing the SOLUTION preset
function.
The display returns to the
programming method selection
display because the remote control
of the component does not have a
key indicated in the SOLUTION
display.
When you select [SOLUTION] and
the display is in the standby mode
for the remote control signal input,
the backlight will not turn on, even
if you tap the display or press a
button.
You cannot operate AV components
even after programming preset
codes.

Remedy
• The system clock indication may be set to OFF.
Set the system clock indication to ON (page
220).
• The letters are hidden partially because the area
where the component label and the page
number are shown becomes narrow if the
system clock indication is set to ON. If you
want to show the component label and the
page number wholly, set the system clock
indication to OFF.
• Calibrate the touch panel display
(ALIGNMENT) (page 212).
Remedy
• The preset code of the AV component cannot be
received from the remote control signals of the
AV component to be programmed (PRESET).
Preset again, referring to "Programming a
preset code using the remote control of a
component (SOLUTION)" (page 45).
• If you can reduce the number of expected
codes, display the list of preset codes with the
[LIST] key and select a preset code from the
expected preset codes (shown in red). Or
program a preset code by the BRAND or
SEARCH preset function.
• If the display turns off when the display is in
the standby mode for the remote control signal
input, the backlight will not turn on, even if
you tap the display or press a button. If you tap
the display or press a button after the standby
mode of the display finishes, the backlight will
turn on.
• Some features may not be preset depending on
a component of the brand. If some or all of the
keys and buttons do not function correctly even
after you have set the preset codes, use the
learning function to program the remote
control signals for the component (page 58).
