Fault tracing

Information on the local HMI

If an internal fault has occurred, the local HMI displays information under:
Diagnostics\IED status\General
Under the Diagnostics menus, indications of a possible internal failure (serious fault) or internal
warning (minor problem) are listed.
Indications regarding the faulty unit are outlined in
Table 23: Self-supervision signals in the built-in HMI

Description
This signal will be active if one or more of
the following internal signals are active;
INT--NUMFAIL, INT--LMDERROR,
INT--WATCHDOG, INT--APPERROR,
INT--RTEERROR, INT--FTFERROR, or
any of the HW dependent signals
This signal will be active if one or more of
the following internal signals are active;
INT--RTCERROR,
INT--IEC61850ERROR, INT--TIMESYN-
CHERROR
This signal will be active if one or more of
the following internal signals are active;
INT--WATCHDOG, INT--APPERROR,
INT--RTEERROR, INT--FTFERROR
This signal will be active if one or more of
the following internal signals are active;
INT--RTCERROR, INT--IEC61850ERROR
Analogue input module n failed. Signal
activation will reset the IED
BIM error. Binary input module Error sta-
tus. Signal activation will reset the IED
BOM error. Binary output module Error
status.
IOM-error. Input/Output Module Error sta-
tus.
mA input module MIM1 failed. Signal acti-
vation will reset the IED
This signal will be active when there is a
hardware error with the real time clock.
This signal will be active when the source
of the time synchronization is lost, or when
the time system has to make a time reset.
