3 Make sure the imagePRESS Server power switch is in the ON (|) position.
Note: Depending on the market region, the power supply cover may be attached to the imagePRESS Server
chassis, and the power switch may not be accessible. In this case, the power switch is in the ON (|) position.
4 Press the imagePRESS Server power button once.
The power supply automatically senses the correct voltage. Allow startup to proceed without interruption. Do
not press any buttons on the imagePRESS Server control panel while the system is starting.
Shut down, restart, or reboot the imagePRESS Server from the monitor
Note: The Fiery Advanced Controller Interface is optional.
1 Shut down the printer.
Important: When you shut down both the printer and the imagePRESS Server, you must shut down the
printer first. If you shut down the imagePRESS Server before the printer is completely off, an error may
occur.
2 Make sure that the imagePRESS Server is not receiving, processing, or printing any files.
If the system has just finished processing, wait at least five seconds after the system reaches Idle before you
proceed.
3 Close all applications except Fiery Ticker.
4 If you want to restart the imagePRESS Server software without rebooting the Windows operating system, shut
down the printer first, and then:
•
Right-click Fiery Ticker and select Server Actions then click Restart Fiery.
This restarts the imagePRESS Server system software without rebooting the Windows operating system.
5 If you want to reboot the Windows operating system on the imagePRESS Server in addition to restarting the
imagePRESS Server software, shut down the printer first, and then:
•
Swipe the mouse up from the lower-right corner of the screen, then click Settings > Power > Restart.
This restarts the Windows operating system software on the imagePRESS Server and restarts the imagePRESS
Server software.
6 If you want to shut down the imagePRESS Server, shut down the printer first, and then:
•
Swipe the mouse up from the lower-right corner of the screen, then click Settings > Power > Shut Down.
This completely shuts down the imagePRESS Server.
