Performing Device Setup Configuration
Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Enables the switch to manually boot up during the next boot
cycle.
Returns to privileged EXEC mode.
Verifies your entries.
The boot manual global command changes the setting of
the MANUAL_BOOT environment variable.
The next time you reboot the system, the switch is in boot
loader mode, shown by the switch: prompt. To boot up the
system, use the boot filesystem:/file-url boot loader
command.
• filesystem:—Uses flash: for the system board flash
device.
Switch: boot flash:
• For file-url—Specifies the path (directory) and the
name of the bootable image.
Filenames and directory names are case-sensitive.
