2.22.7 Operation / operating modes

Switch on
All the settings inside the module are deleted after switching on i.e.
• Counter values, pre-disconnection values and disconnection values are 0000
0000 h
• Overwrite data is 0000 h
• Configuration data is 0000 h
The following setting is active after switching on:
• No data is loaded into the module
• No inputs/outputs are overwritten
• Selection of outputs: DIR+, DIR-, SPEED
• Outputs for direction of movement are not inverted
• Output for SPEED is not inverted i.e. speed = 0: slow, speed = 1: fast
• Counting direction is not inverted
• Counter counts according to TRACK A and B
• Operating mode OFF
• Direction for reference movement, counting downwards to limit switch END-
• Speed for reference movement: slow
OFF
Outputs DIR+ and DIR- or TRAVERSE are switched off.
Enabling of the outputs after disconnection due to the operation of a limit switch.
Positioning movement, variant 1
1. Move quickly until pre-disconnection value
2. Move slowly until disconnection value
3. Switch off outputs DIR+ and DIR- or TRAVERSE
Conclusion of a successful positioning movement is reported to the PLC.
The signal is deleted when the operating mode changes.
The direction of movement is determined by comparing the threshold values with
the current count value.
It is possible to carry out positioning movements with pre-disconnection value for
a greater distance than the disconnection value. The direction of movement is then
inverted once the pre-disconnection value has been reached.
If END+=0 or END-=0 occurs, the outputs DIR+ and DIR- or TRAVERSE are
switched off. The outputs can only be reactivated when the operating mode OFF
has been set.
Positioning movement, variant 2: Displacement movement according to zero
impulse
1. Move quickly in the preset direction (bit direction for reference movement) until
the zero impulse is reached (input TRACK N)
2. Deletion of the counter and proceed quickly until the pre-disconnection value
3. Continue slowly until disconnection value
4. Switch off outputs for traversing
Conclusion of a successful positioning movement is reported to the PLC.
The signal is deleted when the operating mode changes.
If END+=0 or END-=0 occurs, the outputs DIR+ and DIR- or TRAVERSE are
switched off. The outputs can only be reactivated when the operating mode OFF
has been set.
