Snow Blower PRE-OPERATION Inspection
Before conducting the inspection, make sure the tractor engine is off, all rotation
has stopped and the tractor is in park with the parking brake engaged. Make sure
the implement is resting on the ground or securely blocked up and all hydraulic
pressure has been relieved.
The Operator's Manual is in the canister.
All safety decals are in place and legible.
The SMV sign is in place and is clean and visible.
The 3-Point Hitch connections bolts & pins are tight.
There are no cracks in hitch members.
The 3-Point hitch sway bar/chains are secure & tight.
The hydraulic quick disconnects are securely attached.
There are no leaking or damaged hoses.
The hydraulic cylinder pins are tight.
The snow blower discharge shoot is clear of ice/debris.
Snow discharge shoot is in place & in good condition.
PTO Driveline/Gearbox shields are in good condition.
Driveline clutches are in good condition, not frozen.
Driveline telescoping members & u-joints are lubricated.
Driveline yokes are securely attached to PTO & blower.
Gearbox mounting bolts are tight.
Gearbox oil is at the proper level.
Snow blower auger bearings are properly lubricated.
Snow blower fan bearings are properly lubricated.
Snow blower blades are not chipped, cracked or bent.
