Using the answering machine
The security code is also your answering
machine's remote access code which is used
to access your messages from another
phone. See page 43.

Record a new Forwarding message

1. Press
until the display shows TAD SET-UP .
2. Press
then

. The display shows LIFT HANDSET .
4. Lift the handset and the display shows <I> TO RECORD .
5. Press
to begin recording. Speak your message into the handset.
The display counts down the time available.
6. Hang up the handset to end recording, the message is replayed.
Press
to return to standby.

Security code

Use your security code to prevent unauthorised users from playing
messages or changing your answering machine settings. The default
code is 1234. You can change this.

Change code

1. Press
repeatedly until the display shows TAD SET-UP .
2. Press

. The display shows TYPE CODE (0-9) 1234 .
4. Enter the new 4-digit code you want. If you make a mistake, press
to delete the digits.
5. Press
. Display shows PLAY UNLOCK .
6. Press
to return to standby.

repeatedly until the display shows ACCESS CODE .
