SNMP Commands

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) commands are used to manage
network nodes. The following commands are available in Screen Mode:
To use any command:

Command—Add (a)
The Add command creates a new table variable.

Complete the field values as required.
Enter a command from the list on the top of the screen (by entering the
corresponding letter) and pressing <Enter>. For example a for the Add
command.
Press <Enter>.
Enter all key-fields and mandatory fields.
Ensure the field values are as required. Values entered into Read-only fields do
not affect the Read-only field value. The methods of entering the field values are
as follows:
• Selecting the field and entering the value
• Accept the default values
• Use the Get or Get-Next command (see below)
• Use the Clear command (see below)
• Use the Default or All-default command (see below)
Enter the command a at the command prompt and press <Enter>. A confirmation
prompt appears.
Press Y. A new entry is added to the MIB database.
The entry is duplicated
The working variable is a scalar variable
All mandatory and key-field values are not set
