Selection Procedure for Mixed Selection of VRV and Residential Indoor Units

5.2.1 Flowchart
For the selection of residential indoor units, the following procedures shall be added to the standard selection of VRV
indoor units.
-Correct the capacity of VRV indoor units for "Evaporating temperature (Te: 9ºC)". (only for cooling capacity)
-Correct the capacity of Residential indoor units for "Indoor air temperature".
-Use Correction factor to calculate the capacity of outdoor units. (only for cooling capacity)
5.2.2 Selection Example
The following is a selection example based on total heat load for cooling.
[1] Given conditions
-Design conditions
Indoor air temperature: 18°CWB / 25°CDB, Outdoor air temperature: 33°CDB
-Determine the peak load of each room (and the system peak load if necessary)

In this example, safety factor is not used. (i. e., safety factor = 1.0)
[2] Selection of indoor units
 For VRV indoor unit selection (Room A, B, C)
In case of mixed selection of VRV indoor units and Residential indoor units,
correct the capacity of VRV indoor units for "Indoor air temperature" and "Evaporating temperature (Te: 9ºC)".
In case design temperature of the indoor air falls between temperatures listed in the table, calculate the capacity by
interpolation.
