Requires operator awareness.
Yellow alarm button light illuminates continuously.
One tone (beep) sounds; no repetition.

System failure

A special category of alarms exists for system failure and the imminent failure of
pulse oximeter operation.
Requires immediate operator response.
Red alarm button light continuously flashes.
A continuous tone sounds; overrides all mute condition.
