COM/GPIO Installation
The following instructions are provided using the PPC-3211W model for reference:
1.
Refer to Section 2.3 to open the rear cover and remove the reinforcing plate.
Remove the side COM flap by removing the two affixing screws.
2.
Retrieve the serial port module and assemble it as shown in Figure 2.27.
3.
Install the assembled serial module in the system (the two screws circled in red
in Figure 2.28 are fixed). Connect the COM4 cable to CN16 and the COM5
cable to CN13 as shown in Figure 2.28. Then replace the reinforcing plate and
the rear cover. (If the COM5 cable is connected to CN12, COM5 will support
GPIO.)
