Lid (1). Made from top quality thick calibre
stainless steel. The lid must be correctly fas-
tening and the chosen pressure operating co-
rrectly for the cooker to reach sufficient pres-
sure. To place the lid easily, align the
on the left hand side of the handle at the top of
the lid with the

Pressure indicator (2).
sation of pressure inside the cooker. As the
pressure cooker heats it generates pressure
inside, and the pressure indicator (red bar on
the lid handle), will automatically start rising.
While this happens you should see steam
coming out sideways through the lid handle
(Fig. 13). When the indicator is raised there's
pressure inside the cooker which impedes its
opening. The cooker safety closure is locked
and can't be moved to open position. If the in-
dicator isn't raised, there's no pressure inside
the cooker.

2 pressure levels (positions 1 and 2), one to
expel the steam (picture of a steam cloud),
and an extraction position (picture of a circle
penetrated by a line), serving to remove the
valve for cleaning. (Fig. 7-8-9-10). You'll see
the operating valve can't be turned to extrac-
tion position in the same way as for the pres-
sure and pressure expulsion positions. Read
the instructions on how to turn the valve to
open position in the CLEANING AND MAIN-
TENANCE SECTION.
