Used to control the inverting of the DTE
data. This inversion can be useful when
operating with an HDLC protocol. Often
used as a means to ensure 1s density.
Choices: Normal, Invert
If
Invert
should also be selected to prevent an
open DTE input from placing zeros on
the network.
Used to control characteristics of CTS.
Choices: Normal*, Force On

Data Carrier Detect. Indicates to the DTE
when a valid signal is being received at the
Network Interface.
Choices: Normal*, Force On

Data Set Ready. This signal indicates to the
DTE when the DCE is turned on and ready
for operations.
Choices: Normal*, Force On
*See Table 5-1 on page 5-20.
The Nx interface will detect an uninterrupted
string of zeros (0s) being transmitted toward
the network. If 0s are transmitted for >1
second, the TSU 120 will force 1s.
