Maintenance

6.1.

Safety instructions for maintenance

- Ensure that the room is well ventilated before opening the wastewater container. Keep sources of ignition away
and do not smoke.
- Ensure that the pump(s) have reached ambient temperature
- Intake and outlet pipes must be emptied and free of pressure before beginning work.
- The level in the wastewater container must be below the fastening level (pump ange) of the wastewater pumps
(Fig. [21]).
- Aggressive cleaning products may damage the seals.
Conduct cleaning work with warm water and a brush
The pump ange <33> must not be removed.
6.2.

Maintenance activities, intervals

Maintenance of lifting stations (DIN 12056-4
The station must be subjected to regular maintenance by a suitably quali ed person. The time intervals may not
be any longer than:0
- 1/4 of a year for commercially operated stations
- 1/2 of a year for stations in multi-occupancy housing
- 1 year for stations in single-occupancy housing
A maintenance report must be created for each maintenance job, with information on all work conducted together
with important data.
If de ciencies are detected which cannot be resolved, the operator of the station must be informed immediately
in writing by the quali ed person conducting the maintenance against receipt.

Maintenance activities

6.3.1

Visual check

Check that all station components are complete, sit securely, are intact and free of leaks.
6.3.2
The shut-off valve(s) must be able to be operated properly and easily.
