For Optical Disk Drives

Unable to access or play optical disks such as CD-ROMs
Is the disk properly set in the optical disk drive tray?

There is a holder in the tray to secure the disk. Make sure that the disk is securely placed in the
holder.

Inserted the correct DVD/CD-ROM but the message like the following is displayed:
Is the data side of the DVD/CD-ROM dirty or damaged?

Take the DVD/CD-ROM out of the optical disk drive, confirm that it is not dirty or damaged, set
the DVD/CD-ROM again, and click [OK].

Unable to access or play DVD/CD-ROMs
Is the DVD/CD-ROM supported by the server?
→
For a disk such as a CD with copy guard which does not conform to the CD standard, the
playback of such a disk with the optical disk drive is not guaranteed.

The DVD/CD-ROM for Macintosh is not supported.
Is the DVD/CD-ROM properly set in the optical disk drive tray?
→
Take the disk out of the tray, and set the disk with its label side upward.
Is there any dust or scratch on DVD/CD-ROM?
→
Check if there is a stain such as fingerprint or a crack on disk surface. If it is stained, clean the
surface. If accessing still fails, try another disk that can be accessed successfully.
Is DVD/CD-ROM disk in closed state?
→
Close the session, or let the disk in closed state. Then, try to read data from thedisk.
Did you use a writing software appropriate to drive?
→
If a combination of writing software and the drive is not appropriate, the optical disk drive of the
server may fail to read data.

When Power Off

The power is not turned off
Is the suppression feature of POWER switch enabled?

Restart the system once and start the BIOS setup utility.
