    In the QLogic prompt window which appears during POST, press Ctrl+Q or Alt+Q to launch QLogic Fast! UTIL.   • Page 30 2-14 Configure CPU/IO module 1. When the NEC logo is displayed on the screen of the display unit after the system reboots, press the POWER switch on the front of the unit to turn off the power. Then, disconnect all the power cords from the server.
  • Page 31 After configuring the settings for the CPU/IO module 1, set the CPU/IO module 0 as primary. When the NEC logo is displayed on the screen of the display unit after the system reboots, press the POWER switch on the front of the unit to turn off the power.

    Immediately after powering on the server, insert the VMware ESXi Install DVD into the DVD drive of the server. When an installation confirmation message appears, press Enter.   • Page 33 (or save the data, if any) before installing VMware ESXi. <When installing VMware ESXi to the external storage> The installer of VMware ESXi recognizes the external storage as a remote disk.     If connection to the ESXi host is made successfully, the Host Client screen appears as shown below. Input the user name and password of the system administrator, and log into the ESXi host.     2. Check that the "syslog" items are not disabled (displayed in gray) but enabled (displayed in black). To configure the server to be used for log server, install NEC ESMPRO Agent on it, and provide various settings (e.g., editing snmpd.conf, opening of port, and others).
