12.1 User interface

The diesel driven pump panel user interface has a backlit LCD
display so it is immediately read even when the room lighting is
poor and all the light signals so that the pumping set status is
always under control.
The display shows the battery used and the number of starts
during the starting phase.
Every type of alarm is displayed on the display and description
of the same will be displayed instead of the battery voltage.
If more than one alarm is present, the display will show every
signal in sequence and alternating it with the engine status.
The indications and their functions are divided as follows.
Display (LCD) - 8 parameters in simultaneous reading:
• engine status (or speed with the engine running),
• status of the operation mode selector (Pos. F),
• operation hour counter,
• engine temperature,
• oil pressure,
• fuel level,
• battery 1 voltage,
• battery 2 voltage.
Programming area:
• parameter selection button,
• programming button,
• confirmation button,

Battery 1:
• battery charger failure (flashing LED) or battery failure (LED
is permanently lit).
Battery 2:
• battery charger failure (flashing LED) or battery failure (LED
is permanently lit).
Alarm indication area:
• control panel failure,
• low oil pressure,
• high engine temperature,
• short-circuit of oil/water pre-heating system,
• fuel reserve,
• engine start failure.
Status area:
• automatic start disabled,
• pump in operation,
• mains present.
Test area:
• button for pressure switch 1 test and operation check of the
emergency starting circuit,
• button for pressure switch 2 test and operation check of the
emergency starting circuit.

12.2 Meaning of the buttons.

The buttons listed below are on the multifunction panel:
P: for accessing programming and exiting.
UP – DOWN: during programming, various
parameters can be browsed.
Outside the programming mode, they adjust the
LCD display contrast.
ENTER: enables access to the selected param-
eter and confirmation of its value.
With the motor running, this button displays the
fuel level.
TEST LED: when pressed, it turns on all the
LEDs and activates an output for panel lamp
test.
R: eliminates display of the memorised alarms
and resets the operation hours counter.
P1 – P2: for the pressure switches testing to
test the emergency starting circuit (see para-
graphs dedicated).

12.3 Function UNI 10779 on diesel pump

The timer is integrated in the control electronics is set to a time
of 20 min. after which the diesel pump is enabled the stop. This
function is factory disabled and can be activated by the user
following the procedure described in the paragraph "operating
parameters".
12.4 Alarms
As required by EN 12845, no alarm condition
will stop the main pump.
The main pump can be stopped only manually
or, for applications on hose reel systems, can
be stopped automatically by an internal timer.
The DPC control panel displays the alarms described below.
