operation as described in the UNI 10779.
This function is disabled at the factory and if necessary can be
activated by the user during commissioning by following the
steps below.
• Set the operation mode selector on "0"
• Power up the control panel putting the main switch in ON
position: the green LED lit and the pump is stopped.

Pressure switch test

Two pressure switches for each main pump are required on the
fire-fighting main pumping sets, as specified in the EN 12845
standard.
The operation of every single pressure switch must be checked
regularly, and for this reason the control panels are equipped
with a device that allows the check of the proper operation for
every single pressure switch.
• Set the key selector on TEST.
• Press button P1.
• Open the valve in order to make the system pressure drop
down; the panel will start the pump through the P1 (pressure
switch 1).
• Close the water valve and wait for the system to reach nomi-
nal pressure; switch off the pump by pressing the button 0
(manual stop).
• Press P2 and repeat the instructions in the previous point to
verify correct operation of pressure switch 2.

The duty diesel driven pump is controlled by an independent
control panel, which provides easy reading of the measurement
instruments and signals from a single observation point.
The outputs listed below in accordance with the EN 12845
standard are provided for supervising the pumping set from a

The engine can be stopped only manually by moving the selec-
tor (ref. F) from AUT to TEST and pressing the button 0 (manual
stop) (ref. D).
For applications in hose reel systems, the main pumps can be
automatically stopped by a adjustable timer inside the panel.
By using the manual start button I (ref. E), it is possible to start
the engine, there will be a starting batteries changeover every
time it is pressed until the engine starts.
By means of two electronic battery chargers inside the panel,
the batteries are maintained at a full charge without any risk of
damage.
When there is no mains voltage, the signals BATTERY
CHARGER 1 FAILURE, BATTERY CHARGER 2 FAILURE and
LINE (LED off) are present.
Two independent battery chargers and all the electromechanical
components needed are housed inside the panel.
