7. To remove the drive, use one of the following procedures (see Figure 34):

To install a drive in bay 3 or 4, complete the following steps:
1. If you are replacing a removed drive with a new drive, make sure that:

v For a diskette drive in bay 3, press the blue latch on the side of the drive
cage and pull the drive out of the front of the computer.
v For a hard disk drive in bay 3, remove the two mounting screws on the side
of the bay and pull the drive out of the rear of the drive cage.
v For a hard disk drive in bay 4, loosen the thumbscrew on the side of the
drive cage; then, grasp the handle of the drive tray at the rear of the drive
and carefully pull the drive out of the rear of the drive cage.
Drive retainer clip
or retainer clip from the old drive and store it in a safe place.
use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
v You have all the cables and other equipment specified in the documentation
that comes with the new drive.
v You check the instructions that come with the new drive to determine whether
you must set any switches or jumpers on the drive. If you are installing a
SCSI device, make sure that you select the SCSI ID for that device.
v You have removed the drive tray or blue drive retainer clip from the old drive,
and have it available for installation on the new drive.
