Operating the thermostat with the mobile application
Using the Geofencing technology, Siemens Smart Thermostat RDS knows if you
are within your set Geofence area and then informs the thermostat of different
reactions via Cloud. Geo-fencing works only when the thermostat is in "AUTO"
mode.

If you enter the Geofence area,
– The thermostat switches to "Comfort" until the next scheduled mode starts
if a scheduled "Unoccupied" mode is running.
– No change will be made, if a scheduled "Economy" mode is running, to
avoid heating when someone else is asleep at home.
– If more than one smartphone connects to the thermostat, the thermostat
reacts when the first smartphone appears in the Geofence area.

If you leave the Geofence area,
– The thermostat switches to "Unoccupied" until the next scheduled mode
starts if a scheduled "Comfort" or "Economy" mode is running.
– If more than one smartphone connects to the thermostat, the thermostat
reacts when the last smartphone disappears from the Geofence area.
The mobile application notifies you of condensation risks and universal contact
status changes. If there are notifications, a red indicator appears on the upper right
corner of the menu icon,

By default, the mobile application can receive condensation and universal contact
notifications. You can turn the notifications off as needed.
To view notifications

Tap > "Notifications".
You can set your thermostat to the "Away" mode to avoid energy waste, or the "At
home" mode for a comfortable room temperature.
To switch between "Away" and "At home"

Tap "At home" or "Away" at the bottom of any widget.
To switch between "Heat" and "Off"
1. On any widget screen, tap
"Thermostat mode".
2. Select "Heat" or "Off".
You can change the mobile application's background color from dark to light or vice
versa.
To change the theme color
1. In the app, tap > "Account".
2. Expand the "Theme" field and select any background color.
