Installation and Use
All fasteners MUST be fully installed through roof sheathing and into roof truss or support
beam. DO NOT install on bare support beam. All applicable nails OR screws MUST be used.
Substrate MUST be minimum ½" CDX plywood or better AND 2½" support beam (3" total).
Suitable for use in HLL applications. HLL must be installed perpendicular to long side of
Bull Ring Anchor.
Prior to installation, plan your system:
1. Determine installation location of Bull Ring Anchor; ensure location is free of debris, rot,
decay, cracking, and hazardous materials. Ensure selected installation location is a MINIMUM 2'
from all leading edges. Ensure Bull Ring Anchor will lie flush with substrate.
2. Make considerations for eliminating or minimizing all swing fall hazards.
3. Ensure all fasteners are those supplied by Guardian Fall Protection, or are deemed Compatible
with Bull Ring Anchor by a Competent Person. Double-head fasteners must NEVER be used.
Installation:
1. To install, use either (6) 16d, 3" length, 8 gauge nails OR (3) 1/4" x 3" zinc-plated steel hex
head lag screws. All (6) nails OR all (3) screws MUST be used. Fasteners must be fully embedded
in substrate.
2. Use proper hole locations for fasteners as indicated by this instruction manual.
3. DO NOT apply torque to fasteners.
4. Bull Ring Anchor is suitable for multiple installation applications. New fasteners MUST be used
for each new installation application.
5. Prior to each new installation, ensure Bull Ring Anchor has not been damaged or warped by
previous use or removal from substrate. If any damage or defects are found, IMMEDIATELY
remove Bull Ring Anchor from service.

Nail Installation: (6) 16d, 3" length,

embedded into support beam.
Screw Installation: (3) 1/4" x 3" zinc-plated
steel hex head lag screws.
