7.2 Setting Mowing Height-Semi Mount Type

9. Park the tractor and mower on level ground.
10. First lower the front of the machine to desired
cut height using the tractors lower lift arms.
11. Using the hydraulic cylinder position the mower
so the skid shoes are 2" less off the ground
than the desired final cut height. For example, if
a 3" cut is desired, raise or lower the mower
until the skid shoes are 1" off the ground.
Tighten the depth stop collar on the hydraulic
shaft to maintain a set cutting height each time
the mower is raised and lowered. Stroke control
spacers can be used if more adjustment is
desired.
12. Adjust the mower using three point lift arms so
that the rear of the mower is approximately 3/4"
lower that the front. Place the tractor 3-point
control lever stop at this point to maintain deck
pitch.
If the mower is attached to a standard hitch drawbar, adjust any tractor equipped lower link check chains, guide
blocks, or sway blocks to prevent the hitch and mower from swaying from side to side. Never raise the 3-point
lift with the mower attached as catastrophic driveline damage will occur.

7.3 Setting Mowing Height - Pull Type

13. Park the tractor and mower on level ground.
14. To set the cutting height raise the mower until
the bottom of blades and ground measure the
desired cutting height. For example if desired
height is 3", measurement from bottom of blade
to ground should be 3". When using the
hydraulic cylinder use the depth stop to set
cutting height.
15. Adjust the mower leveling rod so that the rear of
the mower is approximately 3/4" lower that the
front.
16. If the mower is attached to a 3-point hitch
drawbar, adjust any tractor equipped lower link
check chains, guide blocks, or sway blocks to
prevent the hitch and mower from swaying from
side to side. Never raise the 3-point lift with the
mower attached as catastrophic driveline
damage will occur.
