General Assembly

Check oil level in all gearboxes before operation. Refer to the 'Lubrication' section of this
manual for recommended oil type and viscosity.
Lubricate all grease fittings. Refer to the grease schedule in this manual.
Check that all nuts and bolts are in place and properly tightened. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section of this
manual for required bolt grades and torques.
Check that all tires are inflated to proper specifications. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section of this manual for
required tire pressures.

Chain Guards

If chain guards are not already assembled to the machine, refer to the Parts Manual section of this manual for
details of their general arrangement and the fasteners to install them.

Blade Timing

To check the blade timing, disconnect the driveline at the tractor PTO. Open blade access covers and rotate
driveline until one blade bolt is visible. Check underside of the deck for the blade position of the rotor not visible
through the top access hole. The blade should be at 90° to the set with the blade bolt visible from the top. If
machine is correctly timed, blade sets will be at 90° to each other.
To change timing disconnect one shock coupler drive and rotate pan to proper location and reconnect shock
coupler drive.
