PARAMETERS 14,15,16
See corresponding parameters 11 , 12, 13 , bearing in mind that they are relative to the 2
PARAMETER 17
This is for setting the current value that the output must be at when the instrument is turned on.
PARAMETER 18
The same as for P17, but relevant to the 2
PARAMETER 19
This data is used by the µP 97 for internal calculations. DO NOT MODIFY !!
PARAMETER 20
The numerical value with no comma or decimal point, equivalent to start scale, is set here. Apart from normalized
inputs, this value is selected in Culligan when calibrating the instrument.
PARAMETER 21
The numerical value with no comma or decimal point, equivalent to full scale is set here. Again this is a value that
cannot be changed, different for each instrument, except for normalized inputs.
PARAMETER 22
The numerical value equivalent to the comma (or decimal point) position is set here. This value depends on the
type of instrument.
N.B. :
In the case of proportional regulations or current outputs, it is imperative to choose
start/full scale values which are very different in order to avoid calculation errors when regulating.
To this end, see errors 24, 25, 27 and 28.
POSSIBLE TYPES OF REGULATION
The following are some examples of programming parameters 01 - 05 (06 - 10) :
1) Check acidification with a ph-meter to find a pH value around 7.40:
RELAY TYPE = 0
The hysteresis window can be selected at will but it is usually best to keep it narrow, therefore set:
MIN. THRESHOLD = 7.30
MAX. THRESHOLD = 7.50
No delays are required, therefore:
ENERGIZING DELAY = 0
DEENERGIZING DELAY = 0
The second relay can be used as an alarm threshold :
RELAY TYPE = 3
MIN. THRESHOLD = 6.50
MAX. THRESHOLD = 8.50
ENERGIZATION DELAY = 1 min
DEENERGIZATION DELAY = 0
A short energization delay is set so as to prevent any peaks caused by disturbances from setting off the
alarm relay.
2) Check chlorination in a swimming pool with a residual chlorine meter to obtain a free chlorine value around 0.80
ppM :
RELAY TYPE = 1
MIN. THRESHOLD = 0.70
MAX. THRESHOLD = 0.90
ENERGIZATION DELAY = 0
DEENERGIZATION DELAY = 0
3) Check the conductivity of water at output from a demineralization plant and emit an alarm (or a command to start
up resin regeneration cycle) if the value exceeds 12.00 µS/cm (conductivity meter with range 20.00 µS).
It is possible to use 0-type operation by setting equal MIN and MAX thresholds :
RELAY TYPE = 0
MIN THRESHOLD = 12.00
MAX THRESHOLD = 12.00
