SERIAL LINE PROGRAMMING
The procedure for programming the 22 parameters (all those available) which can be modified from the RS232C
(serial line) is as follows. Please note that this programming can be carried out by STEIEL only (the serial line is not
available on the instrument) :
1.
Connect the programming keyboard TP92 or a PC furnished with serial communication software to the
Cannon 9-pin female connector. We can supply simple communication software on request.
2.
Digit [ ED (CR) ].
3.
<<Pro>> appears on the µP 97 display while the description and value of P01 (first parameter) appears on
the programming keyboard.
4.
If the value is the one desired, press [ (CR) ] to pass on to the next one. If the value is to be changed, digit
the new numerical value and press [ (CR) ] to confirm.
5.
If the value is included in the range it will be accepted and the µP 97 will propose the next parameter.
Otherwise, an error measure will appear and the same parameter will reappear.
6.
And so on up to parameter 22 (the last).
NOTES:
1)
To exit from programming enter [ E ] or scan all parameters to the last.
2)
To see a preceding parameter again, digit [ S ].
3)
To see a specific parameter :
a) digit [ X ]
b) the µP 97 responds with <<PARAMETER ?>>
c) digit the number of the desired parameter.
4)
All serial commands require capital letters.
5)
Values must be entered without commas or decimal points.
6)
The cancel or delete command is not activated; if an error is made entering data, the value must be called
up again and rewritten.

NOTES
Unless otherwise requested, parameters 20 to 22 can only be modified from the keyboard since they can
compromise the operation of the instrument if they are set wrongly.
