CHAPTER 4: BIOS SETUP

You need to setup a system once every time:
· You start a new and unconfigured system.
· You receive a start-up error message indicating the configuration
information stored in the non-volatile CMOS RAM has somehow
become corrupted.
· You add, remove or change peripherals from your system.
The first time you power up the system, the configuration information
stored in the battery-backed CMOS RAM may not be correct. The BIOS
detects this condition and prompts user to go through the SETUP section.
This chapter explains how to use the BIOS SETUP program and make
the appropriate entries.
