11.2 PRIMING
See procedure described at section 4.2.
NOTICE: Though the number of single injections remains constant, a variation of back pressure or viscosity
causes a variation of the amount of product dosed per single injection.
11.3 INITIAL SETUP
Regardless of the working mode you are choosing, it is necessary to set the main parameters in the
"SETUP" menu. To enter "SETUP" mode, please refer to the quick guide at section 6.5.
Cubic Centimetres per Stroke.
Enter here the cc/stroke obtained during "TEST" function (Calibration).
Use "UP" key to increase the by one unit the digit where the cursor "_" is blinking.
Press "RIGHT" key to pass to next digit.
Press "P" key to save the entered data and "ESC" to exit to main menu or only
press "ESC" to exit without saving.
Calibration
This function is necessary to define the cc quantity (cubic centimetres) per stroke
the pump is capable of supplying.
1) Install the pump on the system by inserting the suction hose (with the foot
filter) into a BEKER test tube graduated in ml (1 ml = 1 cc). If pump is self-
priming, joint the discharge hose and put it into the test tube.
2) Fill up the test tube with the product you are using during normal operation
of the system, until a known value is reached.
3) From setup menu select "TEST" and enter "20" as the value of strokes
produced.
4) Press "P". The pump will start producing the 20 strokes and sucking the
liquid from the test tube.
5) At the end of 20 strokes, read on the graduated scale the amount
of product left in test tube.
6) Subtract the initial value to the left value.
7) Divide the result by the strokes supplied by the pump (20).
8) Enter this value into the menu "CC/ST" (Set [01]) as previously
described.
9) If the result obtained is not reliable (too low or too high values), try
to increase or decrease the number of strokes produced during
"TEST" stage.
