The operat ion of t his m ult i- funct ion por t is configurat ion dependent . For GPI O operat ion, disable all opt ional
funct ions not used ( i.e., Present Sensor and Cut t er ) and set GPI O t o " YES" ( or on display - equipped m odels set
GPI O Dev ice t o " APPLI CATOR" ) . Use t he Configurat ion Set com m and ( < STX> Kc) , or program t he select ions on
non- display m odels v ia t he " Print er Set up Menu List " or on display - equipped m odels via t he " Menu Syst em ."
Pin 3 should be pulled t o + 5VDC. I n addit ion, connect ions
for t he ext ernal St art of Print cont rol can eit her be direct ly
m ade t o Pin 4 of t he Opt ion Port ( or Main PCB connect or)
using a TTL- level input , or via an int erface circuit ( sim ilar
