Applications of the word sync signal for external synchronization
When using the word sync signal for synchronization, select from the
synchronization methods listed below, depending on the specific application. In
each of these cases, it is not possible to carry out variable speed playback from the
Remote Control Unit.

Using the REMOTE-3 connector
For synchronized operation with devices of DASH- or DASH PLUS format.
(For the PCM-3324S, this requires a DABK-3323 board and RM-3324.)

Using the WORD SYNC INPUT connector with the SYNC CLOCK switch
set to EXT
For copying digital audio signals in SDIF-2 format.
(For the PCM-3324S, this requires a DABK-3325 board or DABK-3326 board.)

Using the AES/EBU D-I connector with the SYNC CLOCK switch set to DI
For copying digital audio signals in AES/EBU format.
(For the PCM-3324S, this requires a DABK-3327 board.)
