PB TC (playback time code) GAIN switch (PCM-3348HR only)
NORM: For normal use (Factory-set position)
LOW: For playback of the time code recorded using the PCM-3324A/3324.
SELECT switches
No.1 (BACK UP): Switches the memory backup function of the PCM recorder on
and off.
No.2 (AUTO REC): Switches the automatic recording mode for the analog audio
channels on and off.
No.3 (MESSAGE): Determines whether the tape time display does (ON) or does
not (OFF) display warning codes when the SYSTEM WARNING lamp is lit.
No.4 (VARI SYNC): Switches the vari sync function on and off.
Bit switches
The switches of the PCM-3324S are all set to the right and those of the PCM-
3348HR are set to the left at the factory.
AUTO ASM: Determines the CTL recording mode during assemble recording.
Left (PCM-3324S)/Right (PCM-3348HR): Forced assemble recording
Right (PCM-3324S)/Left (PCM-3348HR): Automatic assemble recording
CTL PRO: Switches the CTL protection function on and off.
Left (PCM-3324S)/Right (PCM-3348HR): Off
Right (PCM-3324S)/Left (PCM-3348HR): On
MODE: Switches on and off the simultaneous playback function for recording on a
prestriped tape.
Left (PCM-3324S)/Right (PCM-3348HR): On
Right (PCM-3324S)/Left (PCM-3348HR): Off
PHASE: Switches the internal time code generator phase correction function on and
off.
Left (PCM-3324S)/Right (PCM-3348HR): Off
Right (PCM-3324S)/Left (PCM-3348HR): On
The other switches are for maintenance use. Do not touch.
