INSPECTION
IGNITER
Measure the resistance in the igniter unit.

09930-99320: Digital tester
Tester range: Q (Resistance)
1. Remove the spark plugcapfrom the high-tension cord.
2. Measure the resistance

Secondary coil High-tension cord
Primary coil resistance: 0.5 - 0.9 Q
Secondary coil resistance: 10 - 16 kQ
Other probe

Core
If the measurement is out of the specification, replace the igniter
unit.
SPARK PLUG CAP

Measure the spark plug cap resistance.

Spark plug cap resistance: 4- 6 kQ
If the measurement is out of the specification, replace the spark
plug cap.
IGNITER TO FlYWHEEL MAGNETO AIR GAP
Measure the air gap of between the flywheel magneto and
igniter unit.
