is released from the cannula housing (H) with ad-
hesive tape (E). The product is now in safe mode
with the activation button (C) pressed down. The
product is now inserted.
10 Press the adhesive tape (E) onto the skin.
Change to a new product and a new site, if the
adhesive tape (E) becomes loose.
11 Remove the paper from the tubing (J).
12 Connect the tubing (J) to the pump/syringe by
turning the pump connector (L) clock-wise.
13 Remove the white cover (M) from the site connec-
tor (K).
14 Prime* the tubing (J) according to the instructions
provided by the pump manufacturer. Be sure
there is no air in the tubing (J).
15 Place a finger on the cannula housing (H) while
pushing the site connector (K) straight in until you
hear a "click".
16 Frequently check the insertion site to ensure that
the soft cannula (I) remains in place and that the
site is not irritated. Change to a new product and
a new site if necessary. Remember to store the
covers (B and M) for later use. Dispose of trash
according to local recommendations.
DISCONNECTING THE TUBING
A Wash your hands with soap and water.
B Place a finger on the cannula housing (H) and
gently squeeze the sides of the site connector
(K). Pull the site connector (K) straight out from
the cannula housing (H).
C Place the white cover (M) on the site connector
(K).
D Insert the transparent cover (B) into the cannula
housing (H) until you hear a "click."
RECONNECTING THE TUBING
E Wash your hands with soap and water.
F Remove the transparent cover (B) by placing a
finger on the cannula housing (H) and gently
squeezing the sides of the cover. Pull the cover
straight out of the cannula housing (H).
G Remove the white cover (M) from the site connec-
tor (K).
H Make sure there is medication flow and no air in
the tubing (J).

pushing the site connector (K) straight in until you
hear a "click".
REMOVAL OF THE INFUSION SET
J Wash your hands with soap and water.
K Place a finger on the cannula housing (H) and
gently squeeze the sides of the site connec-
tor (K). Pull the site connector (K) straight out from
the cannula housing (H).
L Remove the infusion set by carefully loosening
the adhesive tape (E) around the cannula hous-
ing (H) before pulling the soft cannula (I) out of the
skin.
M Disconnect the tubing (J) from the pump/syringe
by turning the pump connector (L) counter clock-
wise. Dispose of the infusion set according to lo-
cal recommendations. For available sharps con-
tainers, please visit your local pharmacy.
*Priming volumes:
- 12 cm tubing ~ 0.04 ml
- 30 cm tubing ~ 0.06 ml
- 60 cm tubing ~ 0.10 ml
- 80 cm tubing ~ 0.12 ml
- 110 cm tubing ~ 0.15 ml
