Assembling the Handle

WARNING: Assembling and unfolding the handle
improperly can damage the cables, causing an
unsafe operating condition.
Do not damage the cables when assembling and
unfolding the handle.
Ensure that the cables are routed so that they do
not become snagged in the handle.
If a cable is damaged, contact a Hayter Authorised
Service Dealer.
1. Unscrew the hand bolts sufficiently to allow the
handle to pivot (1). Hold the motor stop lever in
towards the handle (2) and unfold the handle to
the operating position (3), then release. Tighten
both hand bolts to secure the handle in position.

Grass Bag Assembly

1. Slide the grass bag frame (1) into the grass bag.

2. Position all 6 grass bag clips (2) over the grass
bag frame. Figure 6.

3. Raise the rear deflector (1), lower the grass bag
and hook into position (2). Lower the deflector
to rest on the grass bag. Figure 7.

Inserting the Electric-Start Button

Remove the electric-start button (1) from the plastic
parts bag and insert it into the electric starter (2).
