8.2 Battery module AM 811F
8.2.1 Concept
The battery module provides for retention of the AC 800F RAM
data when the AC 800F is off or has no Ethernet module.
The battery module is used when
•
the AC 800F is used as a stand-alone device, i.e. it has no
Ethernet connection or
•
the only existing Ethernet module is to be replaced and a buffer
battery is needed to avoid data loss (configuration data) of the
AC 800F.
• The battery module AM 811F is designed for battery buffering of
the CPU boards PM 802F and PM 803F with software version 7.1
and higher.
• Exclusively plug the battery module in slots E1 and E2. Do not plug
in any other slot.
