Reset

Briefly pressing (0.2 s < t < 1.5 s) the external T/R button, pressing and holding (t > 1.5 s)
the "R" button, a reset command received via the interface (ALMCL to BMS) or the stop
mode trigger a reset in the ISOMETER®. In doing so, alarms that are no longer active are
deleted from the fault memory. Alarms that are pending in the hysteresis are not deleted.
If the external T/R button is pressed and held (t > 1.5 s), the ISOMETER® performs a reset
followed by a test.
3.2.9.3

Manual self test

During a manual test (duration approx. 30 s), the measuring functions of the ISOMETER®
are deactivated. Pressing and holding (t > 1.5 s) the "T" button or the external T/R button
as well as a test command received via the interface (COM) initiates a manually started
test. During the test function, the

"
on the display and all self-test functions described in the self-test section are carried out.
An alarm which makes the LEDs flash overrides the lighting of the LEDs. The measured
values that can trigger an alarm are issued on the COM interface with a pseudo value and
an alarm, and the requests of numbers respond "n=/TI x" for T or T/R and "n=/TE x" for
COM.
If the external T/R button is the trigger, a reset is carried out before the test, since the first
function of the button is the reset, so that alarms which are no longer active (which are
no longer in the hysteresis) are deleted from the fault memory. The LCD indicates the
messages "tES" and "CAL".
If the "T" button is the trigger, as long as this button is pressed, all segments in the LCD
are indicated and afterwards only the message "tES" flashes. Unlike triggering via the ex-
ternal T/R button, a reset is only carried out after completing the test function.
If an interface command (TESTI on BMS) is the trigger, the LCD indicates the texts "tES"
and "CAL". A reset is only carried out after completing the test function.
Except triggering via the T/R button, the alarm relays retain the alarms active at the
beginning of the text (except the "Device fault" alarm) during the test. In addition, the
message "test" is issued on the alarm relays if it has been configured in the "out" menu
and in the alarm assignment of the respective alarm relay. After completing the manually
started test function, which can only be exited when exiting the stop mode, the message
"test", which may be displayed, will also be deleted from the fault memory.

Automatic self test

During an automatic test (duration approx. 30 s), the measuring functions of the ISOME-
TER® are deactivated. In the
""t" menu" on page
set the repetition time for an automatic test. If this timer is the trigger, only the message
"tES" will be indicated on the display. No alarm is issued via the LEDs, the alarm relays or
the interface. No reset is carried out. A manually started test sets the timer for the au-
tomatic test back to its initial position.

Some of the self-test functions are executed constantly or time-controlled in the
background, others are only executed on request.

• External T/R button
• Serial interface
• Timer for automatic self test, configurable with the "test" parameter in the

During a self test started by one of the sources named above, the measuring function is
