Function
3.2.6.3
Battery voltage
The nominal system voltage U
is monitored with the voltage comparators described
n
above. The insulation fault R
between the unconnected strings as well as the completion
C
of the battery can be detected via these comparators.
3.2.7 Error codes
If, contrary to expectations, a device error should occur, error codes will appear on the
display. Some of these are described below:
Error code
PE connection error
The connections "E" or "KE" to earth are interrupted.
E.01
Action:
Check connection, eliminate error. The error code will be erased
automatically once the error has been eliminated.
System connection fault
The internal resistance of the system is too high, the connection "L+"
or "L-" to the system is interrupted or the DC system to be monitored
has the wrong polarity at U
E.02
Action:
Check connection, eliminate error. The error code will be erased
automatically once the error has been eliminated.
Measurement technique error
E.05
Calibration invalid for current software version
The permissible system leakage capacitance has been exceeded.
E.07
System leakage capacitance C
Calibration error during the device test
Action:
E.08
If the error continues to exist after checking the device connections,
there is an error inside the device.
Internal device errors E.xx can be caused by external disturbances or internal hardware
errors. If the error message occurs again after restarting the device or after a reset to
factory settings (menu item "FAC") , the device must be repaired.
After eliminating the fault, the alarm relays switch back automatically or by pressing the
reset button.

3.2.8 Connection monitoring
3.2.8.1
E-KE monitoring
The E-KE monitoring checks the connection between terminals
ensures the connection to earth of the ISOMETER® and the battery enclosure. An error is
reported with the code E.01 and device error. It operates constantly in the background
and does not affect the measuring function of the device.
3.2.8.2
System connection monitoring
The system connection monitoring monitors the connection of terminals
the battery by means of the coupling impedance. An error is reported with the code E.02
and device error. The monitoring requires a resistance smaller than 12 kΩ and a system
leakage capacitance C
larger than 80 nF between terminals
e
separated battery strings, the coupling impedance ensures that these minimum requi-
rements are fulfilled. In the case of closed battery strings, the battery provides the requi-
red connection between

connection monitoring operates constantly in the background and does not influence
the measuring function of the ISOMETER®.
Above a measuring pulse period duration of 2.0 s, a missing connection to "L+" or "L-" is
only reliably detected under the conditions specified in
The system connection monitoring can be deactivated by means of the "nEt" parameter
