Motor protection
A thermal contact or PTC temperature sensor for controlling a motor protection device is used to pro-
tect the motor against overheating by incorrect operation. This function is not a substitute for a limita-
tion of the end positions; it serves only to protect the electric motor against high temperatures.
Thermal contact (F1) and thermistor temperature sensor (B2)
Brake
Optionally, the motor has a brake. The particular type of brake and braking power can be found at the
nameplate. Type L (closed in de-energised condition) or type B (open in de-energised condition). In
case of a DC voltage the brake coil (Y) will be powered directly. In case of AC voltage a brake rectifier
(U) will be used. If the brake is wired directly, the braking power is tapped from the motor terminal
board. External wiring of the brake, the brake has to be connected by the customer. Please note the
voltage indicated on the type plate of the motor.
Notice!
Further information to the motor please learn from the manual of the
RACO motor.
Danger from electric current or voltage!
Notice in the installation; read the safety section 2.1.2.1 "Safety" in Op-
erating instructions.
DANGER!
Caution! Risk of damage!
When connecting the motor, consider the movement direction of the
thrust tube, as this may damage the RACO electric cylinder. Test the
movement direction in the inching mode / operation.
CAUTION!
Danger from electric current or voltage!
On the cable must not forces act! The cable must not be crushed by the
movement of the RACO electric actuator! The cable length must be suf-
ficient!
DANGER!
