2.2.4.1 Travel accuracy
Please note that due to the physical circumstances, the travel accuracy of spindle systems depends
on the relevant load and operating conditions, and is therefore not always identical or reproducible.
Differences ranging from millimetres up to as much as a centimetre are possible, depending on the
condition of the spindle and nut, the condition of the grease and the size of the load.
With RACO electrical cylinders however, you have the facility, by means of relevant accessories in the
electrical cylinder and associated controls, of achieving reproducible travel accuracies of up
to 0.05 mm.
Ensure that the RACO electrical cylinder cannot run on and butt up against the mechanical end-stop in
the cylinder.
If an accurate position is to be reached by the end-position switch, a stop or similar device must be
used. Care must be taken here to ensure that this mechanical stop cannot be approached at full travel
speed.
2.2.5 Operation
Electric shock caused by touching energized parts!
Severe injuries up to death.
Before working on the electric installation interrupt electric power supply and secure it
against resetting.
Risk of injury caused by moving parts (thrust tube for example)
Crushes.
Do not touch in moving parts during operation.
Do not linger in range of dangers of the thrust tube.
Notice!
Pollution of environment
Outpouring lubrication when vertically installed!
Take appropriate measures in order to absorb outpouring lubrication and depollute
properly.
Notice!
Overheating of motor caused by overload!
Fire.
Consider technical specification like maximum rounds per minute, motor specifica-
tions and so on during operation.
