Generator underimpedance protection application

For generator protection schemes is often required to use under-impedance protection in
order to protect generator against sustained faults. The mho distance protection in REG670
can be used for this purpose if the following guidelines are followed. Configuration for every
zone is identical.

Setting guidelines

7.4.3.1

Configuration

First of all it is required to configure the Mho function in the way shown in figure 121. Note that
a directional function block (that is ZDMPDIR) and a required number of zones (that is
ZMHPDIS) shall only be configured. In this figure, three underimpedance zones are included.
