3.1 Cooling
Other coolants (not water-based)
If you use different cooling media (e.g. oil, cooling lubricant), derating may be necessary in
order to comply with the thermal motor limit.
Note
Derating when using other cooling lubricants
Derating is required for water-oil mixtures with more than 10% oil.
To determine the derating, you need the following values of the coolant at a temperature of
30 °C:
Density
Specific thermal capacitance
Thermal conductivity
Kinematic viscosity
Flow rate
The required derating can be obtained from Technical support.
