screen, as required, to adjust the height to
effectively narrow the detection area during
tracking.
The mask areas are excluded from the detection
target during tracking.

When finished, click the [Next] button.
The following setup screen appears.
Note
The [Size of the tracked object], [Sensitivity], and
[Delay Time] parameters are reflected in both
tracking by face recognition and tracking by face
identification.
The [Start Tracking Automatically] and [Tracking
Start Time] parameters are used only for tracking by
face recognition. They are not used for tracking by
face identification.
Tracking object size
Select the size of the object to keep within the image
during tracking.
[Upper Body]: Keep the upper half of the person to
be tracked within the image.
[Full Body]: Keep the full body of the person to be
tracked within the image.
Sensitivity
Set the response sensitivity for tracking when the
person to track starts to move.
[Normal]: Respond with standard sensitivity.
[Sensitive]: Respond with higher sensitivity than
the [Normal] setting.
Start tracking automatically
Place a check mark in [Start Tracking
Automatically] to automatically start tracking when
a person to be tracked is detected. Leave the
checkbox empty when you want to start tracking
manually.
Also, always set [Tracking Start Time (sec.)] for
automatic tracking.
Tracking start time
Automatic tracking starts when a person has been
captured continuously for a duration exceeding the
time set in [Tracking Start Time (sec.)].
Delay Time
Set the wait time from when the person being
tracked is no longer visible until tracking is deemed
to be lost.
Tracking tally lamp
Enabled when a camera equipped with a tally lamp
is connected. Insert a check mark to turn on the tally
lamp of the tracking camera.
For details about cameras that support this function,
see "Supported Cameras and Available Camera
Functions" (page 54).
7
When finished configuring areas 1 and 2,
click the [Done] button.
The setup is saved in the unit.
Running the Real-time Cropping
application
Run this application to simulate the output of two
cameras by showing a main image and a cropped image.
Note
If a face is partially obscured, due to wearing a mask or
other reason, appropriate tracking may not be possible.
1
Select [Real-time Cropping] for [Camera 1]
from [Applications].
2
Click the [Run] button.
The run screen appears.
The normal image is shown on the right and the
cropped image is shown on the left.
Note
When [Auto] is selected, the face identification
function searches the face database for data in order
of priority, and then tracks the first matching face. If
a face with higher priority subsequently becomes
visible, the tracking target does not change. To start
tracking the person with a face that has higher
priority, click the [Reset] button. The function again
searches for targets in order of priority for tracking.
If no person is found that matches the registered face
data, the search continues using face identification.
Also, if sight of the face of the person being tracked
is lost and the time set in [Delay Time] has elapsed
since tracking was lost, the search will be performed
again in order of priority and tracking resumes.
