SING THE

This chapter describes how to access and use the web
interface to manage your switch. For an overview of
what you can do when managing the switch, refer to
"Why Manage Your Switch?"
The sections in this chapter are in the order you
would perform them when managing the switch for
the first time. If you are new to network
management, it may be useful to read through this
chapter before managing the switch.
The web interface has a comprehensive help system
on the disk that accompanies the switch. For
information on setting up this help system, refer to
"Online Help System"
on page 4-9.
The web browser can only manage one switch at a
time. However, most web browsers have a bookmark
facility which allows you to store the web address of
anything that you wish to refer to again. By using this
feature to bookmark your different switches or other
web-manageable products, you can move between
them easily.

accompanies it.
The web interface displays on screens that have 16
colors and a resolution as low as 640 x 480 pixels.
