– Place brake pads -1- together with retaining springs -2- in re‐
cess in brake carrier -3-.
Note
After fitting brake pads, check that all retaining springs -2- are
properly seated -arrow-.
– Carefully place the brake caliper on the brake support plate.
– Secure brake caliper to brake support plate with new self-
locking bolts, counterholding with the guide bolts.
– Connect brake pad wear indicator connector -1-.
– Fit wheels.
Specified torque for wheel bolts ⇒ Running gear, axles, steering;
Rep. gr. 44 ; Wheels, tyres; Specified torque for wheel bolts .
Note
After every brake pad change, depress brake pedal firmly sev‐
eral times with vehicle stationary, so that brake pads are
properly seated in their normal operating position.
Check brake fluid level after changing brake pads.
Specified torque:
Hexagon bolt, brake caliper to brake carrier
♦ Use new bolts.
