4.2.7 Scanner unit

(1) Remove the left side cover, the right side cover, the CU/PU board and the front
cover. (See 4.2.3, 4.2.4, 4.2.5 (6) and 4.2.6.)
(2) Remove the cover-hinge-R, the cover-stay-L and Remove the cover-hinge-RB. (See
4.2.6 (2), (3), (4))
(3) Remove the screw ⑮ to detache the FG cable ⑯ from the printer's mainbody.
(4) Open the scanner ① and remove the E-shaped retainer ring ② and screw ③ .
(5) Remove the E-shaped retainer ring ④ .
(6) Remove the shaft-stopper (hinge) ⑤ and remove the shaft-guide (hinge) ⑥ .
(7) Remove the scanner ① .

(8) Remove the screw ⑦ and remove the guide cable ⑧ . Remove the three screws ⑨
and remove the hinge Assy FB ⑩ .
(9) Remove the three screws ⑪ and remove the plate support R ⑫ . Remove the two
screws ⑬ and remove plate support stay L ⑭ .
