Purpose of this chapter
This chapter describes the procedures involved in retrofitting a combi oven for use with this hood.
10.1  

 Safe working during retrofitting

For your safety
Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the hazards described in 'Hazards and safety precau‐
tions during retrofitting' on page 24.
Eligibility of personnel for retrofitting
Only qualified personnel from an authorized service company are permitted to retrofit the appliance.
Personal protective equipment
Wear the personal protective equipment specified in the section 'Personal protective equipment' on
page 28 of the 'For your safety' chapter for the relevant tasks.
Live parts
Risk of electric shock from live parts and loose cables
When the cover is open, there is a risk of electric shock from touching live parts.
Make sure that any work on the electrical system is performed solely by a qualified electrician from
an authorized customer service office.
For jobs that require electrical power and must be performed with covers removed, for instance
testing cutouts on the SIB or aligning the door contact switch, take the following precautions:
Follow professional standards and proceed with extreme caution when performing this work.
Switch off all connections to the power supply.
Take protective measures at every power switch to ensure that the power cannot be switched
on again.
Wait 15 minutes to allow the DC bus capacitors to discharge.
Make sure that the appliance is de-energized.
Make sure that the electrical connections are intact and connected securely before you reconnect
the appliance to the power supply.
Before putting the appliance back into service, make sure that the appliance, including all metallic
accessories and fittings, is connected to an equipotential bonding system.
Sharp-edged sheet-metal parts
Risk of cuts from sharp-edged sheet-metal parts
Working with or behind sharp-edged sheet-metal parts may result in cuts to hands.
Exercise caution.
Wear personal protective equipment.
