6 Putting into service
Hot steam / vapour
Risk of scalding from hot steam and vapour
Escaping hot steam and vapour can cause scalding to face and hands when the baffle filter is touched
immediately after the appliance door is opened.
When opening the appliance door, always use the venting position for safe opening.
Exercise caution when performing this action.
Wear personal protective equipment.
6.2  Procedure for putting the appliance into service
Checks prior to putting the appliance into service
Before preparing the appliance for first-time use, check that the following requirements are met:
The technical requirements for the combi oven are met – see 'Requirements relating to the configu‐
ration of the combi oven' on page 34
The hood has been fitted in accordance with the instructions – see 'Fitting the hood' on page 41.
The appliance has no signs of damage.
The appliance has been set up so that it cannot slide about or tip over; the requirements for the
installation position and the area around the appliance have been met.
Protective films, cardboard packaging and transport securing devices etc. have been removed
completely.
The appliance is installed in accordance with the requirements in the 'Installation' on page 46 chap‐
ter.
All safety devices are in their designated position and are working correctly.
The cap of the wastewater pipe is installed and seated firmly.
All warning signs are in their designated position.
The appliance must not be put into operation until all the specified requirements are met.

Changing the factory presets
The factory presets can only be changed in the Service level of the combi oven. Please refer to the
Service manual for the combi oven.
Operating and installation instructions
Switch on the combi oven and start a cooking pro‐
gram.
Result:
The hood is in standby mode with a low fan extrac‐
tion rate (factory preset).
Open the appliance door.
Result:
The hood runs with the maximum fan extraction
rate while the appliance door is open in order to
condense and extract the steam.
10 seconds (factory preset) after the appliance
door is closed, the hood switches back to standby
mode.
The cooking program has finished completely.
Result:
10 seconds before the cooking time ends, the hood
runs at the full fan rate.
After using the combi oven and at an oven temper‐
ature below 90 °C, the hood switches off automati‐
cally (factory preset).
The hood is now ready for use.
