6  Putting into service
Purpose of this chapter
This chapter explains how to put your appliance into service.
6.1  

 Safe working when putting the appliance into service

For your safety when putting the appliance into service
Before starting work, make sure that you are familiar with the hazards described under 'Hazards and
safety precautions when putting the appliance into service' on page 18 and in the chapter 'For your
safety' in the user manual of the combi oven.
Eligibility of personnel for putting the appliance into service and removing it from service
Work performed on the appliance while putting the appliance into service is performed in special oper‐
ating circumstances (e.g. with safety covers removed) or includes activities that require personnel to
have relevant qualifications and appliance-specific knowledge that exceed the requirements for oper‐
ating personnel.
The following requirements must be met by personnel:
They are qualified employees of an authorized service company.
Personnel have relevant training as a service engineer.
Personnel have training specific to the appliance.
In particular, personnel must be able to assess whether the electrical and water supplies and the
wastewater system have been connected to the appliance correctly.
Customer guidance and instruction.
Instruct the user in all safety-related functions and devices. Instruct the user in how to operate the ap‐
pliance.
Live parts
Risk of electric shock from live parts and damaged cables
When the safety cover is open, there is a risk of electric shock from touching live parts.
Make sure that any work on the electrical system is performed solely by a qualified electrician from
an authorized service company.
Make sure that the electrical connections are intact and connected securely.
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns from high temperatures on the hood
Touching the baffle filter directly after operating the appliance and opening the appliance door can
lead to burns.
Allow the appliance to cool down before starting work.
Exercise caution when performing this action.
Wear personal protective equipment.
