5  Installation
Purpose of this chapter
This chapter explains how to connect your appliance.
This chapter is intended exclusively for the fitter and the authorized customer service entity.
5.1  

 Safe working during electrical installation

For your safety
Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the hazards described in 'Hazards and safety precau‐
tions during installation' on page 16.
Eligibility of personnel for the electrical installation
Only electricians from an authorized service company who are qualified and certified under the terms
of EN 50110-1 or in accordance with applicable national and local regulations are permitted to perform
work on electrical equipment.
Regulations for the electrical installation
Observe the following requirements to prevent hazards caused by faulty electrical connections:
The electrical supply must be connected in accordance with German VDE requirements
(0100/0700) and/or with applicable local regulations of the professional associations and of the rel‐
evant utility.
Live parts
Risk of electric shock from live parts and damaged cables
When the safety cover is open, there is a risk of electric shock from touching live parts.
Make sure that any work on the electrical system is performed solely by a qualified electrician from
an authorized service company.
Switch off the power to the combi oven and the hood when work is done on the hood or the control
cable.
Switch off the combi oven before removal of the top box of the combi oven.
Take special care for jobs that require electrical power and must be performed with the appliance's
top box removed.

casing or the electrical box cover removed.
Always reinstall the hood casing and electrical box cover before the power to the hood is switched
on again.
Make sure that the electrical connections are intact and connected securely.
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns from the high temperatures on the top of the appliance
Touching exhaust air vents and ventilation ports on the top of the appliance and the area of the
stacking kit tube may result in burns.
Allow the appliance to cool down before starting work.
Exercise caution when performing this action.
Wear personal protective equipment.
