8  Cleaning
Purpose of this chapter
This chapter presents the cleaning schedule and gives cleaning instructions for your appliance.
8.1  

 Safe working when cleaning

For your safety
Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the hazards described in 'Hazards and safety precau‐
tions during cleaning' on page 20.
Eligibility of personnel for cleaning
Only employees who have been instructed are permitted to clean the appliance.
Handling cleaning agents
You must wear protective gear, as specified in 'Personal protective equipment' on page 28, when us‐
ing cleaning agents.
The specifications of the cleaning agent manufacturer and the EC material safety data sheets must be
complied with.
Personnel must be trained regularly by the owner of the appliance.
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns from high temperatures on the hood and on the appliance
Touching various parts directly after operating the appliance and opening the appliance door can lead
to burns: Baffle filter, connection point of the stacking kit.
Allow the appliance to cool down before starting work.
Exercise caution when performing this action.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Spraying down the appliance with water
Risk of electric shock from live parts
Water on the hood can cause a short circuit, which may result in electric shock on touching the hood.
Do not spray off the hood with water.
